Matrix and Cell Technologies

Research Focus

Marcy Martin, PhD

Investigating cardiac regeneration using iPSC-derived cardiac organoids. Utilizing gene-editing approaches to engineer iPSCs as fundamental building blocks for tissue engineering purposes. Functionalization and optimization of human tissue engineered matrices.

Graphical abstract to depict the overarching theme of Matrix and Cell Technologies. Utilizing iPSC-biology and gene-editing approaches, such as CRISPR-Cas9, to customize and optimize our current human tissue engineered matrices and cardiac organoids for enhanced clinical applications.
