International Collaboration in Stem Cell Research: A Highlight at Expo 2025 Osaka

As the world prepares for the Expo 2025 Osaka, two pioneering institutions — IREM (Institute for Regenerative Medicine) and CiRA (Center for iPS Cell Research and Application) — are set to showcase their groundbreaking work in stem cell research and the exciting potential of translating laboratory discoveries from the "bench to the bedside." This collaboration exemplifies how international partnerships can accelerate the development of innovative treatments and technologies, ultimately benefiting patients globally.
At Expo 2025, visitors to the Swiss Pavilion can learn about these medical innovations through interactive exhibits, presentations, and demonstrations at the Science cafe “Creating a Healthier You with iPS Cells and Next-Gen Medicine”. This event is hosted by the IREM, University of Zurich, in collaboration with with CiRA, Kyoto University, Wyss Zurich, and the CiRA Foundation.
The collaboration between IREM and CiRA is particularly significant because it showcases the power of cross-border partnerships in tackling global health challenges. Both institutions are committed to fostering an open exchange of ideas and resources, which is crucial for accelerating the pace of discovery and ensuring that innovative therapies reach those who need them most.
