ReGenStent funded bei Loop Foundation Zurich
ReGenStent has been selected as one of the new translational flagship projects within The LOOP Zurich, bringing together an interdisciplinary consortium from University of Zurich, ETH Zurich, University Hospital Zurich, and University Children's Hospital Zurich. Over the next five years, the consortium will advance a first-in-class bioresorbable, growth-accommodating vascular stent for children with congenital heart disease, with the ultimate goal of enabling first-in-human clinical evaluation. By integrating additive manufacturing, computational modelling, preclinical research, and clinical expertise, ReGenStent aims to creating a sustainable translational pipeline for regenerative cardiovascular implants. The project not only addresses a major unmet need in paediatric cardiology but also strengthens Zurich’s position as an international leader in precision medicine, bioengineering, and translational healthcare innovation.
