Our team is focused on the development of a unique bioengineered technology that results in off-the-shelf available, scalable and cost-effective biomimetic material in the cardiovascular space, called tissue-engineered heart valves (TEHVs). TEHVs are designed to mimic natural heart valves that have capacity to repair, remodel and regenerate once implanted and could become an alternative, lifelong solution for patients with valvular heart diseases. My goal is to facilitate the efficient transfer of our technology from R&D to biomedical preclinical products that are compliant to GMP standards by driving research optimization and harmonization.
