The efficient translation of research inventions and innovations into novel therapies and products is a key factor for the Lifescience success model in Switzerland and leading innovation centers worldwide. Leveraging the pool of talents and excellent research institutions in Zurich, a number of successful technology spin-off companies has been created in recent years.
To further strengthen this academic value creation environment, IREM's BioEntrepreneurship & Innovation Program will offer a “hands-on” education and training for Lifescience researchers to become a professionally acting bioentrepreneur. In a “Founders Lab” they will learn the essential skills and know-how (IP, business plan, regulatory and negotiation strategies, etc.), for the creation of a spin-off company to bring their ideas and research results to the market. They will be coached by “Entrepreneurs in Residence” to overcome the classical founders pitfalls.
The program has started in September 2016. For further information please contact us.
